 PSYCHOSEMIOTIC PROCEDURE FOR VERBAL CREATIVITY DIAGNOSTICS

PECULIARITIES OF PARENTAL FAMILY IN SENIOR PUPILS WITH DIFFERENT COMBINATIONS OF SELF-EVALUATION AND LEVEL OF ASPIRATION

Peculiarities of families bringin up teen-agers with harmonious and disharmonious combination of self-appraisal and pretension have been compared. Differences in such indices as: education of parents, parental expectations and requirements towards the child, upbringing style, attitude toward the child and emotiomal closeness with him/her are discribed.

PSYCHOLOGICAL CONSEQUENCES OF TERRORIST ACT: EXPERIENCE OF BESLAN

The main goal of conducted in Beslan research was to study the influence of undergone by its citizens terrorist act on their mental state a year after extremal situation. The main hypothesis was that extremal situation of such a scale influenced not only on the people in the center of the event but  on other groups of people as well. Three groups of children (175 pers.) and adults (107 pers.): former hostages, those who had lost near relations and citizens who didn’t deal with the events directly took part in the study. Analizing mental state of the participants of the study we based on the results of questionnaires, analysis of individual  cases and analysis of social situation. The study revealed psychological problems which differed in the degree of heaviness and in the form of passing according to the level of involving into the event.

PSYCHOLOGY IN MODERN SOCIETY

The author considers that self-reflexion of psychology has reduced mainly to methodological reflexion and not to the development of psychological knowledge.At the same time the analysis of present situation in psychological community as well as its interrelations with society are the issue of the day and these should become the object of sociology of psychology. The author summarizes the main tendencies in the development of world and domestic psychological community and interrelations between psychological science and practice in the present-day Russian society. He makes it clear that psychological culture of our society is a “closed” one and psychology occupies an unpretentious place in comparison with other sociohumanitarian sciences, which is inconsistent with its possibilities and ambitions

HUMOR RECOGNITION DISTURBANCE IN SCHIZOPHRENIA PATIENTS

The hypothesis of decrease in capability for humor recognition in schizophrenia patients was verifyied. Male patients with different forms of schizophrenia  and contrast group (aging 17–32, 101 persons in all) were the sample. The procedure of singling humorous phrases out and procedures of standart pathopsychological examining were used. The conclusion that in patients with shift-like progredient schizophrenia the ability for humor recognition decreases but in patients with weak schizophrenia and affective disorders it remains safe.

SUBJECTIVE ECONOMACAL WELL-BEING: STRUCTURE-AND-LEVEL ORGANISATION

Structure-and-level approach to well-being psychology study is described in the article. Subjective well-being (SWB) is revealed as polyphenomenological formation the essence and specificity of which are determined by the organization of its structural components. Such data concerning regularities of SWB’s level organisation as: not reducing of SWB level to additive totality of forming patr of it components; determination  of SWB level by the effects of system integration of its components; the existence of “general” and “specific” factors in the SWB structure are presented.

FACTORS OF DEVIANT ADOLESCENTS’ RESILIENCE

The necessity of styding resilience as individual man’s ability to manage his own resources is demonstrated. The results of elaborated in the framework of International Project on Resilience questionnaire for reliance evaluation in children and adolescents approbation on Russian sample are presented. Such factors of resilience of deviant children and adolescents predetermining their social adaptation as “Personal characteristics”, “Attitudes”, “Subculture”, “Society” and “Country” are allotted.

A RUSSIAN ADAPTATION OF EARLY CHILDHOOD BEHAVIOR QUESTIONNAIRE (ECBQ) FOR MEASURING TEMPERAMENT

The paper presents validation of the Early Childhood Behavior Questionnaire (ECBQ) for measuring temperament. Adequate reliability for 18 ECBQ scales was demonstrated in a sample of 256 toddlers between the ages of 16 and 37 months. Attention Shifting, Cuddliness, Low-intensity Pleasure, Perceptual Sensitivity, and Sociability were the highest between 30 and 37 months of age. Ratings for Attention Focusing and Positive Anticipation increased from 16 to 37 months of age. The analysis of the higher-order structure of early temperament confirmed the three factor model. Negative Affect, Surgency/Extraversion, Effortful Control factors were similar across countries. The associations between temperament and behavior problems support the importance of individual differences in shaping development pathways toward adjustment or deviant outcomes.
