PHILOSOPHICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL HERITAGE OF S.L. RUBINSTEIN

Such crucial aspects of philosophical and psychological conception of scientific work of prominent domestic philosopher and psychologist Sergey Leonidovich Rubinstein as problems of Man and Personality, ontological basis of their essence and means of existence and self-realization are analyzed. Created by the scientists school consecutively developed his sophisticated and profound ideas, integrating separately elaborated aspects (abilities, needs, motivation, consciousness, self-consciousness, thinking as personality problems), widening the context of their researches. Rubinstein's approach due to his disciples and followers, due to the constructivism of his ideas itself holds a leading position in Russian psychology.

ONTOLOGICAL PARADIGM IN PERCEPTION STUDY

Based on S.L. Rubinstein’s ideas the author formulates principles of ontological approach to perception study which is considered as generated in the course of man–world interaction event. The system character of perceptual process is emphasized. Its main constituents (subject and object of perception, perceptual activity, perceptible image etc) are analyzed. The perspectives of ontological approach in psychology are discussed.

COLLECTIVE SUBJECT: MAIN FEATURES, LEVELS AND PSYCHOLOGICAL TYPES

Theoretical grounds for present-days elaboration of the problem of collective subject allotted from S.L. Rubinstein’s early works are presented. Collective subject’s main features, characterizing the group at one and the same time but with different levels of their intensity are formulated. On the basis of dominating of one or another feature different levels of group subjectity manifestation are allotted: interrelationship and interdependency, joint activity, self-reflection. Combination of the allotted features of collective subject is interpreted as different psychological types of subjectity (and subjects): potential, real and reflective (or development). The role and restrictions of space-time relationships in a group as a subject formation are analyzed. Present-day tendencies of subject approach in socio-psychological groups’ with different size (amount) study are emphasized.

HEURISTIC MEANING OF S.L. RUBINSTEIN’S IDEAS FOR PROBLEMS OF HISTORY OF PSYCHOLOGY ELABORATION

Historism of scientific conception of S.L. Rubinstein which is the premise for the universality and fundamentality of scientist’s ideas is grounded. Rubinstein’s contribution to domestic history of psychology formation, to its principles, means of positive analysis and constructive critique of psychological approaches as well as its philosophic – methodological grounds forming is revealed. Based on Rubinstein’s ontological approach the understanding of object and subject of history of psychology is given.

EARLY PERIOD IN S.L. RUBINSTEIN’S SCIENTIFIC WORK (METHODOLOGICAL, THEORETICAL AND BIOGRAPHICAL ANALYSIS)

Early period (10–20-th of the 20-th century) in S.L. Rubinstein’s scientific work connected with his philosophical and psychological self-determination is analyzed the role of this period for the development of scientist’s activity at the following stages and for his conception forming is revealed. The results of source study work with S.L. Rubinstein’s early articles and manuscripts are presented, the dates of their witting are determined, historical-and-theoretical and methodological analysis of their content is conducted. This allowed dating the beginning of S.L. Rubinstein’s scientific activity decade earlier then it was considered in domestic historiography.
